Gun-wielding suspects wanted after broad daylight carjacking on K Street

Washington, D.C. — A victim was forced out of their car at gunpoint in an armed carjacking involving four suspects on K Street in Southeast DC, prompting a police investigation.

The incident occurred on November 29, 2024, at approximately 4:00 p.m., in the 3000 block of K Street, Southeast. One suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s car keys. After complying, the suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle, which was recovered a short time later.

Surveillance cameras captured images of two of the suspects, and police have released photos to the public in hopes of identifying them.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call police at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved.
