Knife-wielding suspect wanted after assault and burglary in Northeast D.C.

Washington, D.C. — A suspect captured on surveillance video is being sought for an assault and burglary that took place in the 3000 block of Pineview Court, Northeast, earlier this year.

The incident occurred on April 6, 2023, at approximately 7:45 p.m., when the victim returned home to find the suspect inside her residence. Police said the suspect brandished a knife and attacked the victim, who managed to yell for help, causing the suspect to flee the scene.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital by DC Fire and EMS for treatment.

Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to contact police at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
