Double Homicide in Queens
QUEENS, NY — Police were called to the scene of a shooting at 109-64 143 Street in the 103 Precinct on Friday, following a 911 report of two victims. Upon their arrival, officers found a 35-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man, both unresponsive with gunshot wounds to the head.
At this time, police suspect the incident was a murder-suicide.
Emergency Medical Services declared both individuals dead at the scene. Near the male victim, authorities found a firearm. The victims have been identified as Joseph Murphy, 38, and Kenisha Mirrison, 35, both residents of the address in question.
The investigation into the deaths is actively ongoing.
