Palm beach county sheriff's office mourns the loss of k9 tucker

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL – The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has announced the passing of K9 Tucker, a distinguished member of their team. Tucker, known for his exceptional skills in Human Remains Detection (HRD), was a valued and beloved canine officer.

Tucker’s journey with the PBSO began as a puppy, initially trained for disaster work. He later transitioned to specialize in HRD, where he demonstrated remarkable proficiency. Throughout his career, Tucker’s contributions extended beyond Florida, assisting various agencies across the United States.

With a record of over 70 confirmed case finds, Tucker was recognized as a top-tier HRD K9. His efforts played a pivotal role in solving high-profile cases, making him a true asset to the law enforcement community.

In July 2023, Tucker retired, enjoying his final days surrounded by family. His passing, while peaceful, leaves a void in the hearts of those who worked alongside him and the community he served.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office extends its heartfelt gratitude to Tucker for his years of dedicated service. They honor his memory as a loyal friend and exceptional K9 officer. Rest in peace, Tucker.
