JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NJ – Chants of USA, waving Israeli flags and American flags, bring them home, and loud music drove away a pro-Palestine protest at a veterans war memorial in Jackson on Sunday after just two hours.
The protest, organized and attended mostly by non-residents of Jackson Township, clamored for an end to the Israeli military response to the October 6th terrorist attack in which over a thousand innocent victims were murdered, burned, raped, and butchered by Hamas militants operating out of Gaza.
At one point, a low-flying plane with the word Israel and an Israeli flag painted under its wings buzzed the protest.
Protesters who falsely declared that Jackson Township wanted to silence them complained about the counter-protester’s rights to protest, calling them ‘intimidating.’ Dozens of people waved American flags and Trump Flags and chanted “USA”, blasting loud music to drown out the Pro-Palestine protest.
Freedom of speech was on full display.
It is not known why the group chose the hallowed ground of a solemn memorial to American veterans to host their anti-Israel protest. The Jackson Veterans Memorial Garden was built as a memorial for residents to reflect on the service and sacrifice of U.S. military veterans.
According to the Asbury Park Press, the group appeared to be organized protesters who traveled the country, visiting communities to protest in. One protester said she had never seen such a counterprotest to their protests.
Two hours later, the seasoned protesters fled the area as they were taunted by counterprotesters waving American and Israeli flags.
Freedom of speech ruled the day in Jackson Township, New Jersey, on Sunday, despite the protesters’ false claims that the government was trying to silence them. Instead, the local community members drove them out.
