Man critically injured in Baltimore shooting near Liberty Heights Avenue

BALTIMORE, MD — A 33-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot Saturday evening in Baltimore’s Northwest District, police said.

Officers were called to the area of Liberty Heights Avenue and Gwynn Oak Avenue at approximately 7:27 p.m. on October 26 to investigate reports of gunfire. Shortly after, officers were dispatched to a local hospital, where they discovered a man suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.

Preliminary findings indicate that the victim was shot in the 4800 block of Liberty Heights Avenue before making his way to the hospital. Northwest District Shooting detectives have taken over the investigation as they work to identify suspects and gather information.
